I am a Bilingual First Generation Salvadorean American with a passion for helping others. I received my Master’s in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Psychological Trauma. I began my clinical journey working with young children with developmental disorders, and then moved on to providing therapy services at a nonprofit organization. My focus is on individuals who have survived interpersonal violence such as domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and more.
I have experience working with a variety of individuals across multiple backgrounds, such as minorities, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and victims of crime. I am drawn to working with children and adolescents but have worked with adults as well. I have seen clients with a variety of diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and PTSD. I am also interested in breaking the stigma surrounding mental health in the Latinx community as well as the effects of generational trauma.
I use several therapy interventions such as CBT, TF-CBT, CPT, and DBT. I have used various techniques in sessions such as art, music, and games; I am always open to learning more ways to best help my client and keep them engaged! I also believe that every individual who comes into therapy is different, and I will therefore work with you to develop the best treatment plan to build your strengths and reach your goals.
I am highly passionate about the work that I do. My goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment that establishes trust with my client. I believe that therapy provides the client with tools to help them amplify their own voice and inspires the client to advocate for themselves in different areas of their life. It is an honor to be a part of a client’s journey of self-growth, and I look forward to working with my clients as they navigate their complex lives.
