Alejandro Gonzalez

Associate Clinical Social Worker
(Under Supervision)

About Alejandro

As a bilingual Associate Marriage Family Therapist under supervision, my commitment is to my client’s well-being and to help people reach their potential. My client niche is working with the LGBTQIA+ community and with your abuelitas, moms and tias.  Growing up Latine I had a first-hand understanding of the lack of therapeutic resources and stigma about mental health in the Latinx community, this propelled me to study mental health and become an advocate to make a change and difference. My approach to therapy is person-centered and collaborative, understanding that each client has a story and voice. I take pride in offering evidence-based therapy while maintaining a supportive, compassionate, safe, and non-judgmental environment for every one of my clients.

I incorporate elements of Cognitive-Behavioral, Person-Centered, Solution Focused and Family System therapy into sessions, while also focusing on establishing trust through the therapeutic relationship. As an Associate Social worker, I have experience working with individuals with Depression, Anxiety, Childhood or Adult Trauma, and with women who have experienced violence.

As a therapist I meet each client where they are at and explore their needs and goals through establishing understanding and trust. I find it important in allowing each client to unveil their potential through acknowledging their thoughts, behaviors and perception of self that limit them. I am committed to providing you with the support and encouragement you might need and to help you through each step of your mental health journey. I look forward to hearing from you.
