Hi, my name is Daniella Flores, and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I was born in Costa Rica and moved to California when I was 8 years old. I am bilingual in Spanish and English.

Since I was young, I have had a passion for helping others and that is why I decided to get into this field. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona and my Master of Science in Psychology from University of Phoenix. I wanted to continue my education; therefore, I got my second Master’s in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University in Riverside.

For my practicum I worked for a nonprofit organization in which I gained experience from different populations. I worked with children starting at the age of 5 years old and with adults. I worked with individuals who were experiencing: anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional regulation issues, crisis, bereavement, interpersonal conflicts, low self-esteem and family dynamic issues.

My approach to therapy stems from a client-centered approach in which I want my client to feel that they are in a safe space that is not judgmental, genuine where trust can be built. I work collaboratively with my clients in which goals and treatment are individualized to the client’s needs. Within my approach I implement distinct modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, strength-based, art therapy and play therapy.

Overall, my goal is to be able to give clients tools and coping skills to be able to navigate difficult challenges that they are facing. While still maintaining a close rapport in which they know they have someone to confide in, that is compassionate about their job and their problems.
