“Take the time to define yourself and define your value. If you’re having a hard time doing that, ask yourself: What is something I would say to someone I love?”

As a first generation Mexican American, born and raised in Los Angeles, I experienced first-hand the reluctance and need for mental health services in the Latinx community. I use this experience to propel myself into the mental health field with the idea of having conversations within the Latinx community of all the taboo including love, sex, relationships, feminism, Trans issues and advocating for LGBTQIA+ rights.

With over 10 years of experience in the mental health space through my private practice and community work with inner-city programs. Much of my focus is on building relationships, family dynamics, LGBTQIA+ community, trauma, anxiety, and depression. My training in some of the most progressive modalities including, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Imago, Gottman, (Level 1 and 2), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Seeking Safety, elevate my strategies to help clients develop skills to create life-long changes, stay present and live a more fulfilling life.

In addition to my therapy practice, I am the host of Mental Health 411 podcast which amplifies my work through educating, building a community, and having important, honest conversations around normalizing everything taboo, inclusivity, and acceptance.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

Our therapists are certified and trained EDMR Therapists!

What is EDMR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a form of psychotherapy developed by Francine Shapiro in the 1990s in which the person being treated is asked to recall distressing images; the therapist then directs the patient in one type of bilateral sensory input, such as side-to-side eye movements or hand tapping.
