Licensed Social Worker

I am a registered Associate Clinical Social Worker. I grew up in San Diego, CA and have lived the majority of my life in Southern California. My therapeutic approach is strength-based client centered. The values aligned with my therapeutic approach is maintaining the dignity and worth of my clients. I also value the importance of human relationships and treat each client with integrity. I am committed to providing a safe and nonjudgmental space for my clients to share their vulnerabilities and to discover their best selves.

I have 10 years of experience in providing social work individual and group psychotherapy and case management across settings such as IOP, acute psychiatric inpatient, community based organizations, schools, home health, nonprofits, and private practice. I help my clients navigate difficult situations and stressors that interfere with interpersonal, social, and occupational functioning. The populations I have worked with are from ages 10 years old and up. I have worked with clients with symptoms of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, Bi-Polar, Schizophrenia, PTSD, substance abuse, and co-occurring dual diagnosis.

My goal as a therapist is to collaborate with my clients to set goals of therapy and learn to apply a diverse compilation of coping skills that support my clients to challenge life stressors and lead a less stressed and a more fulfilling life. To achieve this as a therapist, I intend to utilize my training and techniques in Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, ACT, Positive Psychology, Trauma informed CBT, and CBITS to support my clients in meeting their identified goals. I provide one on one individual and group therapy supported by psychoeducation, goal planning, and interactive activities in a safe and non-judgemental space.

I believe that treatment through individual or group therapy is about learning to prioritize mental health by better understanding triggers, symptoms, and strategies of coping in order to lead a desirable life. Treatment is the opportunity to learn about oneself, reflect and process experiences, and continue the journey of self-empowerment.

My goal for my clients is to achieve self-sufficiency and improve life satisfaction through individual or group work. I intend to educate my clients on how to balance their mental health and to essentially reduce mental health stigma.
